My date night look this past weekend prominently featured Attire, one of my favorite bands of all time (that I wrote more about here), and the most sustainable brand I’ve found to date. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do it! I really love their oversized dress shirt that I purchased last winter. It’s the perfect length, not too long but not too short, and the cuffs and collar are a touch dramatic, which I need in my life! More recently, I purchased their brown wool coat, which is actually from their first collection a few years back but they still had my size available. Like everything else Attire, it’s perfect and timeless. It’s also incredibly warm and kept me nice and toasty while we were out and about in Leslieville on Friday night. It’s officially winter in Canada, so dressing warm and for the elements is a non-negotiable when planning outfits if you want to stay happy and thawed.
My favorite part of this date night look was my leggings. I love how these Totême leggings look when I unzip the cuffs – that flare! Particularly with a heel, it’s such a flattering silhouette. And… they’re leggings! But they look like so much more. Such a win in my books.
My Isabel Marant belt (side note: in my opinion, Isabel Marant makes the best waist belts) helped tie this look together, and made me look put-together – despite the fact that in actuality, I was wearing leggings and a large shirt!
The final touch was my classic black leather heels. After years of searching for the perfect black heel, I finally found them in these Saint Laurent leather pumps. A closet staple for sure; but so is everything else from this look. These are pieces I’ll be wearing for years to come and throughout all seasons (sans the coat, that will go into hibernation during the summer). And that’s the golden ticket to building a sustainable wardrobe – quality, timelessness, seasonless (when you can), and versatility. xx
