I’m having a big lilac moment these days, and I can’t seem to get enough of this soft pastel colour in my wardrobe. Maybe because it reminds me of working in the garden among the lavender and foxgloves, but I also think this will be a colour I take with me into Fall and Winter as well. While the softness of lilac is perfect for long, hazy summer days, it would be just as beautiful in the colder months paired with dark blue denim and rich brown leather. I’m declaring it now: this colour will be my way of carrying this perfect summer spent in the garden with me into the cold, European city-scaped winter. And that is the last time I mention winter! It’s mid-summer in cottage country and I’m going to bask in it.
I got this beautiful cotton top and amethyst and pearl necklace at Snapdragon in Muskoka (I love this store and talking to the owner about where she sources all her items, she knows all about each designer and how the products are made). It’s not available online, but I found a similar style by Nanushka, a sustainability-focused brand which I love, that is also 75% off! I am also currently obsessed with baroque pearls. I love this fun, pearl hairclip and I’ve been layering pearl necklaces recently for a more elevated but bohemian summer look. Baroque pearls and lilac, seems like a match made in heaven to me!
